Why Raymarching

Signed distance fields are a powerful way to create graphics but like raytracing its potential has been ignored in the early stages.

Why Nvidia

Nvidia have a number of older but powerful GPUs which allow for server processing. This allows the costs to be kept low while we devlop out systems.

Benefits

By developing our own software we can ensure we are getting the most out of our workflow. Allowing us to automate to our needs no other programmers.

Stepping Closer

Different shapes have heavier overheads, using this setting we can visualise the overheads needed to aid optimisation of code and scenes

3D Normals

Rays have direction in three dimensions. Being able to visualise this helps diagnose problems quickly and allow users to visualise how the maths are working.

Recurrsion

Being able to bounce around is very useful however older GPUs do not support Dynamic Parallelism so we have to implement this in to code. These efforts are worth it.

Bring a smile

This project aims to bring a smile to the audience.
If we achieve anything more than this it is because we love what we do, allowing creativity to flourish without deadlines.
Quality cannot be rushed and passion cannot be taught.
